Parliamentary elections are coming — want to run?
Parliamentary elections decide Finland’s direction. Uusimaa Greens nominates candidates for parliamentary elections in our own electoral district.
The candidate list will most likely have 37 places. The final number of places is confirmed on 31 October 2026.
The candidacy process in brief:
1. You express your interest in candidacy using this form.
2. The district’s candidate recruitment group reviews applications and makes selections from the district’s overall perspective.
3. The candidate recruitment group makes proposals to the district’s general meeting.
4. The first candidates will likely be nominated in May at the district’s spring meeting.
5. You cannot speak publicly about candidacy before the general meeting has decided on the candidacy.
9. The candidacy fee is €500.

What about local elections?
The next municipal and wellbeing services county elections are held in April 2029. Candidate recruitment begins in January 2028.
