The district in brief
The district organisation’s purpose is to promote green values: nature and environmental protection, sustainable development, social justice, equality, tolerance, openness and transparency in decision-making.
Uudenmaan Vihreät ry (founded 1984) is a member organisation of Vihreä liitto rp and acts as the Green Party’s district organisation in the Uusimaa electoral district. In Helsinki, Helsinki Greens operates. Uusimaa Greens’ purpose is to promote green values through its activities. To realise this, Uusimaa Greens primarily does election work, including nominating candidates for parliamentary elections and supporting its member associations in municipal elections.
Uusimaa Greens follows openness and impartiality in its operations.
